Gadeer Kamal Mreeh

In this powerful episode, we sit down with Gadeer Kamal Mreeh to unravel the chaos unfolding in Syria, the plight of the Druze community, and the complex role Israel now plays in the region. Gadeer shares raw, on-the-ground perspectives, cutting through the headlines to reveal the human stories behind the conflict. This is a conversation about survival, identity, and the true meaning of peace in a time when the world is watching but not always understanding.

A Legacy of Performing Arts

Established through a major gift from the Posluns family, the theatre has served for decades as a welcoming space for theatre productions, film screenings, music performances, lectures, and cultural festivals. Equipped with modern lighting and sound systems, a spacious stage, and flexible seating for up to 280 guests, the theatre’s capabilities reflect the Posluns family's dedication to high-quality cultural experiences.

Leah Posluns herself was not a household name in the way some philanthropists are today. Yet her impact is felt by anyone who has sat in a theatre seat at Bathurst and Sheppard, applauding a community production, a school concert, or a visiting international artist. She helped ensure that the arts would remain accessible, community-rooted, and proudly supported in the heart of Toronto. Her legacy lives not in the spotlight, but in the stage lights.
